Irene Adomaitis · Founder

Irene has been helping people settle in Munich since 1991.

Irene founded Bavarian Relocation Services in 1991. Her Munich relocation company is deliberately personal: she still speaks with every client herself and works directly with families, employers, landlords, authorities and the people needed to get a move finished.

She knows where Munich moves tend to get stuck: an application that is not ready, a viewing that has to happen quickly, or an appointment that depends on the right documents. Her job is to prepare those moments well and keep the rest of the move from being forgotten.

Her client work has included relocation assignments for DAX-listed and Fortune 500 companies as well as private professionals, entrepreneurs and families.

What the move involves

Moving to Munich is more than finding an address.

Housing, residence paperwork and everyday setup influence one another. Looking at them together early often prevents avoidable changes later.

Finding an apartment or house

A Munich home search usually starts before the first viewing. The preferred areas need to make sense for the budget, commute and household, and the rental application needs to be ready when a suitable property appears. Irene can help shape the search brief, prepare the applicant profile, check the public market and relevant local contacts, arrange viewings and communicate with brokers or landlords.

If a tenancy goes ahead, the work can continue through signing and the property handover. BRS cannot promise that a particular landlord will accept an application, but it can make sure the search is organised and that important decisions are not delayed. Visa, EU Blue Card, residence and Anmeldung

These are related parts of a move, but they are not the same process. A visa or EU Blue Card concerns the right to enter or live and work in Germany. Anmeldung records the new address after moving into a home. The responsible office, required documents and timing depend on the person and municipality.

Irene assists with practical preparation, forms, appointments and communication with German government services. She can explain what to gather and help keep the administrative sequence clear; legal advice and official decisions remain with qualified advisers and the authorities. The arrival and residence service covers this practical support in English or German.

Family life and the first weeks

For families, the housing decision is rarely only about the property. School or childcare options, journey times and the way a neighbourhood works day to day can change which area is practical. It is useful to consider those questions before the home search becomes too narrow. BRS can coordinate school and childcare research alongside the move.

Once the address is known, there are smaller jobs that still take time: electricity, internet, broadcasting-fee registration, household providers and local errands. They can be handled as individual tasks or combined as part of home and family setup.

One service or a complete relocation programme

Not every move needs a complete package. Someone who already has a home may only need help with Anmeldung. Another client may want the housing search, arrival formalities and household setup managed together. A smaller individual assignment can cost less than the published MUNICH SELECT starting point; a broader or more complex mandate can cost more.

BRS serves Munich, Munich district and the surrounding Greater Munich area from its base in Grünwald. The exact location, workload and responsibilities are agreed before booking. The programme overview is a useful reference, not a requirement to choose a fixed bundle.

When to start

Starting earlier gives you more choices.

An early conversation gives you time to prepare the rental application, work around appointment availability and decide whether you need one service or more. It does not commit you to booking.

Realistic datesNo commitment before you receive a proposal

Home search

Around 8–10 weeks

A useful starting point for a full Munich home search. The right plan still depends on your budget, preferred areas and how quickly your documents are ready.

Family relocation

Before areas are fixed

School, childcare and commuting can change which neighbourhood works for the family. Consider them before committing to an address.

Departure

Before notice periods bite

Your tenancy, utilities, deregistration and handover all have different deadlines. Starting before the final month leaves more time to deal with them properly.
